National Trails
The Thames Path (completed)

The Ridgeway (early days)

The North Downs Way (in progress)

This page will contain links to all the National Trails I have walked (or attempted to walk). However, I am well aware that at this moment the page is quite bare. So far, the Thames Path is the only one of the 15 National Trails in the UK that I have completed. If you would like to read about my individual walk experiences on this trail, or see the photos, please follow the links.
In January 2019 I have started walking the North Downs Way and I hope to add some other national trail walks soon - certainly the Ridgeway and the South Downs Ways are geographically not too far and I hope to start walking at least one of them soon. The Ridgeway is top of the list and the first mile or two completed! Perhaps by the time you stumble on this page there will be some meaningful content.
Of course, apart from the National Trails, there are hundreds of other long distance paths throughout the country and thousands of miles of paths ..... (see the Long Distance Paths section for my walk reports on some of these paths). I have recently decided to do a separate section for Canal Walks because I have grown to love these for ease of walking and route planning. Follow a canal and navigation is a piece of cake!
